class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I finally took my own advice\u2026\u00a0 I decided to stay a few days and back off on the driving.\u00a0 Both Trigger and I needed a break.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Most of the Chinook were still in the river mouth getting ready to head up the river to spawn.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I have fished for Salmon most of my life.&nbsp; However, the fishing regulations were challenging to say the least.&nbsp; No matter what, you either had to use a float or a strike indicator.&nbsp; Seems easy\u2026&nbsp; Using a bobber with bait has caught a lot of Salmon and Steelhead.&nbsp; Using a strike indicator with a fly and trailing fly has produced many fish as well.&nbsp; However, the Salmon were on their initial push up the river.&nbsp; And, in that segment of the river, the water was almost still.&nbsp; So, fly fishing with an indicator was out.&nbsp; My plan before I arrived was to use streamers or swing a fly through the zone.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I was down to bobber fishing.&nbsp; Not my favorite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The best thing was the ability to drive on the river rocks straight up to the hole you were going to fish.&nbsp; I\u2019m not lazy, but if they let me drive there I will.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"271\" height=\"208\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/livingreeltime.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-11.png?resize=271%2C208&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-840\" style=\"width:418px;height:321px\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After two days of relative relaxing, I decided to camp on the Rogue closer to the mouth of the
